Design Brief and Concept:
Sedim is a natural recreational area in Kedah, famous for its eco-park. Thus, a natural discovery center is proposed to allow people to learn more about nature. In this project, the concept of 'Renature' is applied to enable people to rethink, reimagine, and reconnect to nature life.

Design Strategy:
The building is designed with a sharp angle to cause visual conflict, arouse people's curiosity, and lead people to walk in and find out more about nature. At the same time, the peculiar shape can also become a new local landmark. Although it seems out of tune with nature, the voids seen everywhere allow visitors to get close to nature once entering the building. In a seemingly discordant and not humble structure, visitor can use their own experience in the building to understand that the built environment and nature can be well integrated.
Through the Nature Discovery Center, visitors will experience three mental journeys, from curiosity to exploration, and finally, have their views on nature. It can be comfortable, stimulating, healing, exciting, or surprising. It all depends on the visitor's perspective. Once visitors discover nature's different faces, human beings can cherish and appreciate our most precious possession - Mother Earth.
